Soul Food
Sunday
It's not an event you attend. It's a table you return to.
Soul Food Sunday is an intimate monthly gathering around the table.
We gather around a shared meal on the first or second Sunday of each month, honoring family, culture, and community. It is an unhurried space to eat well, speak honestly, listen deeply, and be fully present.
We come together not only to nourish our bodies, but to tend to the places that are often neglected in the pace of life. There is no performance here, no pressure to arrive with answers, and no expectation to be anything other than yourself. Just good food, thoughtful conversation, and the quiet gift of being seen, known, and refreshed.
Soul Food Sunday is intentionally simple and deeply relational. The environment is warm, grounded, and welcoming. A safe space to engage, learn, and grow together.
Each gathering includes time around the table, meaningful and engaging conversation drawn from a pre-selected book that we journey through collectively. The book is not treated as a curriculum or assignment, but as a companion to the conversation.
The gathering is not rushed. Late arrivals happen, and long goodbyes are allowed.

What this is NOT
Soul Food Sunday is not a church or a platform. There is no teaching, preaching, or positioning. There is no stage and no microphone; the focus is on presence, and the table is level.
It is not performative. There is no pressure to sound enlightened, healed, or “deep.”
Both silence and conversation are honored. Doubt, joy, laughter, and honesty all belong without explanation.
It is not a place for fixing or rescuing. Advice is offered only when invited. Listening is valued over solving. Presence is the priority.
It is not a networking event. There is no exchanging of business cards, pitching, or leveraging relationships.
Soul Food Sunday is not exclusive, but it is curated. Invitations are intentional to protect the tone, safety, and relational depth of the gathering.
Where We Gather
Soul Food Sunday is held in intimate, thoughtfully chosen spaces that feel warm, welcoming, and personal, because the space matters. For the first season, gatherings will take place primarily in my home, creating a table that is relational and rooted in hospitality, presence, and genuine connection.
At times, we may also gather in select local eateries reflect the heart of Soul Food Sunday and allow us to share a meal in a way that still feels connected and unhurried. Regardless of where we gather, the intention remains the same: to create a table where people feel welcomed, grounded, and at ease.
Each gathering is curated by relationship rather than volume and offered by invitation. If you are local to the Las Vegas area and feel drawn to this kind of gathering, you’re welcome to join the mailing list to stay connected and be considered for a future invitation.
